The present company was originally formed by our Father, Mr Ronald Wrigley, who took over the shop from Mr Steadman of S &B Productions in 1963. Locals inform us that it has been a model shop since before the war and was the birthplace of S& B productions Ltd who made various model railway accessories including the famous “Dermic Oiler“, a syringe device used for oiling locomotives and rolling stock that was often advertised in the “Railway Modeller“.
Over the years this family run business has expanded to meet the various needs of modellers with a wide range of model aircraft, boats, railways and cars - both diecast and Scalextric slot racers as well as tools, materials and supporting accessories.. We also stock a range of second hand items for the collector and bargain hunter and offer a model locomotives repair service and demonstration test tracks. The centre of the shop features a working “N” guage layout built by a former customer in the 1970’s for a magazine article and which over the years has proved a popular family attraction. The shop is currently run by Ronald Wrigley’s two sons - Warren and Brian
